Jasmina Meier

Jasmina Meier was on a trip through New Zealand in 1993 when she first heard the sound of the ocarina. She was so enthralled with the ocarina that she taught herself to make ocarinas using the English Pendant fingering system. Since she first started making ocarinas it has been important to her that each ocarina she makes is unique. Her ocarina feature different designs, shapes, and are made with a variety of firing techniques, combing both visual and audible aesthetics.

She recorded a CD named 'In The Heart' in 2007, featuring spirit songs. She is accompanied on the CD by Gunnar Hartman, on the guitar, and Naemi von Orelli, on the piano and ocarina.
