Franz Xaver Kofler

Franz Kofler is one of the first ocarina players of the alpine region, known for his fast folk music. He is the pioneer of the ocarina in German speaking areas, and is a television and radio star. He has been playing his folk music on the radio for the past 52 years.
He formed his first ocarina group in 1958, in Bozen, Italy. He will be attending the festival alongside his group, consisting of himself, Wolfgang Neumüller, on the accordion, and Ursula Neumüller, on the guitar.
